You can typically buy into a mutual fund by contacting the investment management company that is sponsoring the particular mutual fund you are interested in.
This can be done in three ways:
Branch Office – Visit the physical location of the mutual fund company, completing a set of forms, providing ID documents and funding your account.
Online Portal – Get on the website of the mutual fund company, fill out the forms, provide required ID documents and funding your account.
Third- Party Platforms – A couple of fintech platforms have arrangements with some investment management companies that allow you buy mutual funds from their platform.
Once, you have made the first purchase, you can set up a direct debit into your mutual fund account for additional purchases thereafter.
